Buddah is situated 20

which is 37kms from Dubbo in the central west of New South Wales. The
property “Buddah” is actually three properties operating together,
“Buddah” (3555 Ha), “Riverpoint” (998 Ha) and “Kansas Plains” (921 Ha). The three
properties are operated under the company name Buddah Pty Ltd and
currently produce crops such as cotton, wheat, canola, oats, chickpeas,
sorghum and 87 Ha of citrus.
Currently there are
approximately 550 acres (220 hectares) of citrus production in this area
principally oranges including the varieties
Washington Navels, Late Lane Navels, Navelinas, Leng Navels, Valencia,
Seedless Valencia, Grapefruit and Mandarins.
Growers in the
Macquarie Valley region
including Buddah P/L have recognised the potential of this area to
produce a premium product that is
accessible to the Asian/Pacific fresh markets and have
commenced major expansions of the citrus
orchard production area.

Overall
production from the Narromine area is expected to be
8,000
to 10,000 tonnes annually
by the year 2010 if the infrastructure
to support development is in place.
Obviously if markets can
be secured there is
substantial potential to develop further,
particularly with China.
We wish to expand to include the
export markets
as a staple, to do this we are focusing our energies on the
requirements of varieties, time and quality
assurance required by the market is China. We wish to
develop
a long-term stable relationship with key
people in the
Chinese citrus markets.
